watching animated movie was fun,
especially when ironing was such a boredom
at first i thought this was a movie about a lot of dragon masters (kinda like BBC's Merlin maybe), but NOOOO, hell NOO, it was a movie about the war between Vikings and Dragons
at least the first half of it.
the protagonist was such a wimp, but the plus side was he got the best face among them all, admit it, the others were unsightly... and the name was ridiculous too, Hiccup... maybe he was born with just one hiccup lol
the wimp got to trap Night Fury, the scariest dragon of them all according to the legend (funny thing was, nobody got to see one and lived to tell the tale, yet they could tell it was a night fury from the getgo). Actually, it was the cutest dragon of them all, and not scary at all. oh yeah, even the lazy fat-ass ugly dragons of Chrono Cross were scarier than Toothless (now i want to play Chrono Cross again T.T).
and the story went like this. Stupid wimp was the Vikings Leader's son, with the wimpiest build ever, and he went into dragon training, which was like a battle training against dragons. But his experience with Toothless got him to win the training without actually battling one. Also, he made Toothless a prostethic
to helped its balance in flying. Its origin of lacking in the tail wing department was never explained though. If it was caused by that wimp, oh the irony...
but yeah, the later part of the movie got to see him meddling with Toothless, and a bunch of other dragons. They later got to the dragon's nest, a very, VERY BIG dragon (i still wonder how the hell that thing could fly) with face that looked like it was ripped of Jurassic Park's T-Rex. And yes it was very BIG (oh i have told you that). In the end they won the battle (yes, it's animated, this kind of movie always have happy ending), but the wimp lost his leg and got prosthetic like his dragon pet.
btw, the other nameless dragon (oh yes, even the boss was nameless) got to breathe fire or venom, while Toothless had ray blast! it was super awesome, there was this high pitch sound just before every shot.
i never felt this emotionally involved while watching an animated movie (and while ironing, duh), but it was good. And Toothless was cute. Much cuter than Merlin's dragon, but no more than that little white dragon.
