oooo, look at this! the dried fish woman had a new story to tell!

with new characters, new settings, an old flame from the past, and of course, a new love interest!



Amemiya Hotaru had just returned from Hong Kong after 3 years away for business reason. Of course, being the lazy woman like she had always been, no news whatsoever from her during those 3 years, and suddenly she sent all of her stuffs to the old house where she resided before her departure. The house where the boss also lived.

Everything changed, the boss suddenly had a lot of secret meetings with a woman, who turned out to be his ex-girlfriend. All of the old casts had left too, except Yamada and Futatsugi. Instead we got an office full of good looking characters!



After a few icy talks and awkward situations, the boss then proposed to Hotaru. That's when the new love interest slipped in. We had Mukai Osamu as the young, vibrant, and fun Seno, who took interest in Hotaru after a drunk encounter and a few rehearsal of a famous seal's pose... Yep, it didn't took that long for the feeling to be built, it was natural too (unlike Teshima, seriously). On the 4th episode, Seno declared war with the boss (you know, telling a guy that you're aiming at his girl isn't exactly making friends, right??)



I've never seen any of Mukai Osamu's drama, just read a few articles about him sometimes here and there, but after seeing this, i think i don't mind looking for his dramas. He's very interesting! plus his expression was very natural, i'd go palpitating too if he were nearby.



So how did the story go? The boss proposed to Hotaru, then he took it back, then Hotaru proposed to the boss, then he accepted it. The old flame apparently still in love with the boss, but the boss was clueless. Izaki liked the boss really much, but the boss was clueless (again, even until the end). Seno liked Hotaru, but she wasn't sure about her feeling to him. Sakuragi liked Seno a lot, but Seno was clueless. Damn, there were a lot of clueless characters, were they really that dense?

And we still get a lot of old habits between the boss and Hotaru, she even got a new nickname Ahotaru...


Funny thing about this drama was the girls' characters. Even with their love interests liking other girls, they didn't have this 'you stupid slut im gonna kill you for seducing my guy' mentality. Instead they watched from afar, sometimes gave supports (that they shouldn't have done), congratulated the other girl (oh admirable girl, you're still sparkling, really), etc but never displayed any hostility! Salute to you girls!

Compared with a lot of bitches here who went full throttle just because i talked with their guys... bitches will always be bitches.

Back to the drama, after a lengthy exposition and talks and etc, finally the boss put out the ring, the 1 million yen ring (it wasn't that impressive though...). But it was not without any conflict, as the boss left the house because Hotaru kept forgetting about their promise to various events (you know, Seno was a lot more entertaining than the boss). I don't get him, really. You left the house because you're angry with your girl but you still wanted to marry her? Should i check for any brain trauma? I failed to understand your logic.

In the end, they finally got married. Seno left the country, Sakuragi got a little bit of hope that she could win Seno's heart, Yamada got married to Futatsugi, happy ending for all.



And yey for no psychotic boyfriend with flat face and a pure white apartment, i wonder where did he go?

If Seno was in the first season, i'd be rooting for those two. After all, Hotaru and Seno was a match made in heaven.
