Endless Night
Whenever bad moment comes, i feel like the night is going to be a very long one. Don't you think so too? でも日はまた昇る Just find the silver lining, or so what Dean'd like to say. Okay, the story then.
Starring Matsushita Nao as Tamura Atsuko
Matsushita Nao, right, i like her songs, i've never really seen her acting though. And hell, her character here was very annoying.
So Atsuko awoke in her own home because of a phone call, and that call informed her that her cute husband had died in a murder. A stabbing to be exact. She then went on a train to Osaka, the place that took her husband from her, and apparently she hated the place very much. I kinda took pity on the people of Osaka having to be stereotyped like that. More reason to hate the drama?
Tanaka Koutaro as Tamura Youichi, seriously he's cute, right?
Only in Japan where the detective in charge accompanies a suspect in a private tour of Osaka. He used so much time to get a confession. Yeah to cut things short, Nao herself was the killer. And she had hallucinations too, leading the polices to wrong places and conclusions for a while. It was because she hated Osaka. Her father made himself taller (borrowing term from Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei) because of bankruptcy, and she could see her husband going the same way. He freakin' asked her for their home certificate because the business was going south. Well, i'd just divorce him and let the prenup finish the rest, or maybe the lawyer. But she didn't. Instead she stabbity stab stab (okay, it wasn't repeated) him, and later hugged him before going back home. The detective could crack the case because of her perfume, which still lingered around the dead body. A freakin perfume! Who gonna notice that on the court?

REIKO and Reiko
A female lawyer just won a case by a juvenile defendant, believing that everyone must be given a second chance. And this point of view was used to the very end by a very wrong person.

The story opened with a creepy girl standing in the rain waiting for her prey, and then stabbed him, and then went away as if the world was filled with sunshine and rainbow. Then the lawyer found her in the parking section of a building. But she wasn't that creepy girl anymore, instead she became this messy girl with amnesia and was very afraid with man.
Ono Ito as Yamashita Reiko, the girl with twisted personality
look, i'm so vulnerable! Forget i just stabbed a guy! this lawyer is sooo asking for trouble, don't touch a stranger! After overhearing people on a store and looking at the sketch and found the knife that killed the guy, she managed to put 2 and 2 together. Voila! the lawyer found out that the girl was a killer.
through a sketch that looked pretty much like every Japanese school girl, or maybe East Asian school girl...
After a few talks and encounters, the lawyer concluded that REIKO was the personality that killed and was formed as her other personality, Reiko the cute one, got abused as a child. Having a great sympathy because of the similar background (the abuse, not the law school), she did everything she could to ward jail time away from Reiko.
And later, she found out that Reiko had fooled her since the beginning. It was too late though, since the verdict had been passed. Reiko was free. And Yoko needed to do law school again, or maybe a psychiatric rotation
the bitch's true nature, kinda reminded me of that particular episode in Mr. Brain
5th story then! Yey!
it's supposed to be sweet...
a story about a very hot dad who had just lost his daughter because of an accident. And the story went around the mechanism of her daughter's death.

so the story went like this. It was a cold day and his daughter was ready for a nap. So he turned on the heater and went out for an errand. Then he got attacked and blacked out. No, he wasn't a teacher of a troublemaker class and the leader of a biker gang, so he was easily defeated this time. Anyway, that was an old story. Then in the hospital, he got the news about his daughter's death. The End.
I'm just kidding. So he thought he caused his daughter's death. But after some scenes and a walk down to the memory lane, he accused his new wife (stepmother soon to be, if only that girl hadn't died) of killing the girl, because it was clearly shown that his daughter didn't like the woman. And then he tried to strangle her. Crime of passion, right? Strangle? really?

Later he found out that it was actually really him who had killed the
girl, seeing that he turned on his bike but forgot to turn it off before
going out. His new wife, out of kindness and stupidity, turned off the
bike and made it looked like the heater was the culprit, and somehow it
would point to her if they dig deeper.
stupid, really. So the guy (accidentally) killed his daughter. Should just let him suffer for a while so that he could be more cautious, you moron... Maybe someday it'll be you who is accidentally killed...
