After saving Yosuke Hanamura, Chie Satonaka, and Yukiko Amagi, banchou finally experienced some calm time
and in Persona 4, calm time is for social link level up!
the banchou already had Magician, Chariot, and Priestess in his hand. Now is the time for Strength and Moon Arcana. For Strength, we got Kou Ichijo the basketball player, who actually was an heir apparent of a very wealthy and traditional family. Yeah you can guess, that family was against him playing basket, and the basket ball club was struggling too because they need more players. Yuu instantly became the new player, and got to spend time with Kou. No no no, they decided to skip Daisuke instead, because he wasn't interesting enough. But he still got some screen time in Kou's story.
Maybe the reason they chose Kou was because of Ai Ebihara, the Moon social link. Ai was really in love with Kou, but Kou liked our tomboy Chie.... okay.... I really think Chie was better off with Yosuke :p
so yeah, our banchou got involved in a triangle love story while trying to help Kou achieving his dream and Ai from self destructing. He's so good at multitasking! Then after a tournament, the team lose, but Kou decided to not bail out from the team, and Ai decided to brace herself and pursue her love (poor Kou). And Daisuke was kept being insignificant through the whole story.
banchou was afraid of her (maybe because of her wide forehead), it was never shown on the game...
well then, that's the end of the first little filler. They continued the main story, and we got our next party member, the badass Kanji Tatsumi.
a badass who apparently got confused about his sexual orientation...
Kanji Tatsumi got into TV after an interview regarding his fighting habit and the defeat of a biker gang near his home. The party was convinced he'd become the next target, so they tried to play detective and tail the guy.
Sadly, Kanji always caught them and ended up chasing them. All the way. And Chie still got time to order beef bowls too.
Aika Nakamura the Chinese Restaurant girl. Special delivery, anywhere anytime. She wasn't in the game though...
their detective stunt ended in epic fail, so everyone decided to go home and take some rest before continuing on. But then it was a rainy night. So banchou looked at the TV
nightmare. Kanji, what are you doing? This time Banchou put it in recording...
Kanji got kidnapped! Who the hell could grab the big guy and throw him into the TV? one could always wonder. So the party began their investigation and entered the TV, trying to locate Kanji with Teddie's help. Then what happened with Kanji? He woke up in a very steamy bathhouse looking at...
himself and colorful flowers! I'd be ashamed too if it was me...
Kanji was stunned. Where the hell did this weird guy come from? and spitting out those nonsense about their existence and his hidden feeling. He should be stopped!
Meanwhile, the party had to go through thick steam and lots of shadows before arrived at Kanji's room. Banchou and Yosuke hesitated, a lot, because they weren't sure if the next scene wouldn't burn their eyes... It took a few convincing sentences from Yukiko and Chie before...
love yourself too much?
Seeing that they had spectators, the shadow Kanji began a lengthy exposition and tried to make Kanji's head sunk in the sand, mostly because of the shame. So Kanji did what others had done, a very nasty statement that forever changed his life (wait, that sounded like it came out of a story book)
well well well...
i'm sure you've all known that Kanji's monster form was this 2 buffy bald guys in their underwear, while himself was surrounded with flowers. Fuck, that was weird even for him. And those 2 guys were masochistic too! Banchou and Yosuke blacked out when their asses was grabbed, lol. Don't forget banchou could change his persona, and he changed it to...
him. right, it was clear the writer never played the game. stupid.
After an easy defeat, banchou realized he couldn't fight the normal way. And with sudden revelation, he did a fusion!
i really didn't know you could fuse personas in battle! that's cheating!
well, he summoned Orochi the multiheaded snake in battle. Did a little bit of damage. And then Kanji began his own lengthy exposition about how people seen him, about his hobby, about his own feeling, and so on. Banchou decided to cut him short by making a comment about that little doll that Kanji had made.
Banchou i love you! He's such a player~
Be very careful Banchou, next thing you know will be the whole school on their knees asking for your love :p Kanji after the comment was kinda funny. and lolworthy.
Kanji, lovestruck, forever in love with Banchou
you can guess then. The monster Kanji experienced glitches, but it wasn't enough to defeat him. He's your strongest attacker after all (well, beside the main character maybe). Then Kanji realized he had to accept his shadowself because it was him however weird that thing acted.
And they ride together into the sunset. the end.
